Frontend Developer // Abroadwith

Abroadwith is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team in Berlin. Our platform for language and cultural exchange is aimed to change the way people travel and learn languages through daily interaction with local families and hosts.

Your profile:

  • At least 3 years experience as a Frontend Developer
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6/7)
  • Strong knowledge of CSS(3) and precompilers (SASS and LESS)
  • Strong knowledge of build tools like npm, babel, webpack highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of React and Redux highly desirable
  • Experience developing all aspects of a single-page application
  • Experience managing node / Express servers and endpoints
  • Experience with Jenkins CI, AWS, and Solr are bonuses
  • Experience with Linux servers
  • Basic skills with MySQL databases
  • Good problem solving skills and in creating future-proof solutions
  • Eager to take ownership and take part on technology decisions
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Your responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of our frontend React/Redux universal/isomorphic application, running in a node environment
  • Implement new features in coordination with business teams as company grows
  • Write clean code in line with industry best practices and standards
