iOS Engineer (mid to senior level) // KAYAK

March 29, 2017
You are a coder. A builder. A maker. You are not a ninja or a rockstar. You love solving challenging technical problems with simple, elegant solutions. You sweat the details, but also know when to let go and ship. You hate the code you wrote last week. You understand algorithmic complexity, but know that 90% of being a good programmer is simply writing readable code. You want to be part of a team, building products that people fall in love with. If this is you, let’s talk.

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • Medium to senior knowledge of native iOS development
  • Solid knowledge of Swift, ability to read Objective-C
  • Strong computer science background, understanding of fundamental algorithms and data structures
  • Analytical mindset and excellent problem solving skills
  • Understanding of multi-threaded programming subtleties and gotchas
  • Ability to diagnose and solve mobile networking performance issues
  • Work well with UI designers who are obsessive about pixel perfection
  • Ability to effectively communicate your coding solutions and articulate the reasons for your decisions
