KAYAK is looking for an experienced web developer with a strong PHP background to join its Berlin based European marketing division. As a core part of the team, you will take ownership of developing and enhancing our PHP driven platforms and infrastructure, focusing on delivering world-class UI/UX with a single mission: inspiring people to travel. Working closely with the design and marketing teams, you will have the freedom to be creative and innovative, implementing solutions to interesting and challenging problems, and directly impacting KAYAK’s core marketing performance. If you are team player with a love of travel, passion for beautiful UI/UX and solid experience in modern web technologies and trends, then we’d love to hear from you.


  • 5+ years experience developing real world web applications
  • Senior-level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript (ES5+)
  • Experience with React, Angular, Ember, or other comparable JS framework.
  • Strong background in PHP with MySQL
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed workplace


  • Good understanding of SEO and security fundamentals
  • Experience running a content marketing website
  • Familiarity with popular PHP content management platforms
  • Docker experience
