As a junior data scientist, you will work along-side our senior data scientists embedded in other teams. You will analyze data, engineer features for our models & algorithms, and in general come up with creative ways for the company to compete on data. In the madvertise Data Science team we work on hard problems in algorithmic media buying. The data that we work with comes in extremely fast, at tens of thousands requests per second. Our job is to research and prototype real-time learning algorithms to try and monetize on attractive buy patterns as they arise. In this way the team directly influences the bottom line of the company. We log and store as much of these streams as possible, and by now we have accumulated many terabytes of historical data (and it’s still growing!).
