The “Digital Lab” of Groupe Chantelle, a French lingerie maker with 142 years of history, is managing a portfolio of intimate apparel e-commerce sites for thousands of customers across the globe. What we are looking for

We are currently looking for a junior people operation manager (M/F) to join our digital team in Berlin. Our ideal candidate has a true passion for people and culture and feels obligated to help those around them, and, of course, it would be a nice plus if the candidate is a customer of Chantelle Lingerie!

What you’ll do

HR Administration

  • Be the first point of contact for all Berlin office employees regarding HR topics
  • Handle HR-related documentation and compliance with labor, immigration, and social insurance law for the employees, e.g. health insurances sign-ups, set up new employees, forms for parental leave etc., and maintain digital and physical HR records
  • Prepare contracts, certificates of employment, reference letters and other employee-related documents
  • Prepare regular reports on HR and recruiting activities
  • Obtain overview for current visa status for incoming employees and aid new visa applications
  • Support payroll processes and work closely with the external payroll provider and finance team
  • Track sickness and holidays accordingly as well as any other absence
  • Roll out our Human Resources Information System and advise accordingly, and maintain employee records in the system

Training and development

  • You own our onboarding process and ensure to provide every new hire with the knowledge needed for being a successful team member
  • Act as liaison for the global HR team to progress global HR projects
  • You provide support on key organisation effectiveness processes including: change management, employee engagement and high performing culture

Recruitment

  • Prepare all necessary material for the creation and publishing of job ads
  • Communicate and collaborate with external agencies on talent sourcing
  • Ensure good candidate experience end to end

Office Management and employee experience

  • Opportunities to identify, design and implement creative and influecial people projects
  • Be the first point of contact for external vendors (cleaning, office supply, landlord, security etc.)
  • Take care of our keys and fixed assets management
  • Handle the travel administration for our employees through shared business travel platform
  • Be responsible for office supply orders
  • Plan and organise team events

A good candidate has

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related cultural study majors
  • Ability to work in cooperation with all levels of employees and to handle and protect highly confidential information
  • Fluency (native or C1+) in English and German
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Solid relationship skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Solution-oriented approach: turn problems into opportunities
  • A multitask hero in them – they can handle any inquiries & projects with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and flexibility in a fast-moving environment
  • A curious mind always eager to learn and develop quickly

A perfect candidate has also

  • Experience in organising language training
  • Fluency (native or C1+) in one of the following language
    • French
    • Spanish
    • Mandarin
    • Arabian
    • Russian
    • Turkish
  • Experience in working in a similar position within an international and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of the German labor law
  • Experience in successfully building up employee experience settings
