Civic Engagement Intern // Civocracy

Civocracy is a civic tech startup, helping citizens give their opinion on city projects. We are redefining the way citizens and decision makers communicate and make decisions. We’re a passionate, international team of 11, looking for a driven and social individual to help us with our operations. Your responsibilities:

  • Growing participation & civic engagement in our cities:
    • assessing users’ response to different communication channels, campaigns & topics and identifying successful strategies,
  • Implementing & tracking outreach campaigns:
    • aiding with the drafting and posting of digital advertising,
    • pushing press releases and establishing media contacts,
    • organizing and following up on customer’s communications plan,
  • Supporting our clients:
    • answering customer needs & questions,
    • serving as a bridge between the account management, software development, and sales department in the processing of customer feedback,
  • Assisting business development:
    • building and adapting business presentations to specific customers & case studies,

Your profile:

  • Driven, independent
    • You yearn to exercise your abilities in a greater capacity,
    • You are able to manage and have ownership over your own work with little oversight,
  • Communicative, supportive
    • You have experience working in a team, you know how to collaborate, take & give feedback,
    • You know how to be pedagogic and are able to guide & assure clients,
    • You have good copy in both written & spoken French,
  • Analytical
    • You know how to assess results, create learnings and iterate,
    • You have a strategic mindset,
  • Organized & good at planning
    • You will be working across different but dependent areas (communications, account management and sales). It is important that you know how to organize and align the activities accordingly,
  • Socially oriented
    • You want to improve yourself and your surroundings. Your work is more than a salary,
  • Fluent French (both written and spoken) + English
