We believe that water is fundamental to human well-being and health. At mitte ( we are building a water purification machine. Our goal is to (1) leverage the latest technology to purify and enhance water to a globally unmatched quality degree, and (2) create social impact by preventing the use of plastic bottles and supporting water projects in least developed countries. As mitte moves closer to its launch date, marketing and communications becomes more important. We’ve been prototyping for months, now it’s time to tell the world what we are doing. This is where we hope that you come in. The exciting part is that we are just getting started, so there is an opportunity to shape our strategy from the beginning. Our first major marketing milestone is a crowdfunding campaign in early Q2 2017.

In a first step we target households in developed countries where the technology can be applied in a kitchen countertop appliance. We are currently moving from prototype stage towards building a ready-for-mass-production home-use machine, aiming to hit the market second half of 2017.

We previously co-founded Coffee Circle ( and ShareTheMeal ( The core technology was initially developed at Cambridge University, England, and is currently submitted for patent. Our team consists of 9 engineers and 2 business people. Our experiences include strategy consulting (BCG, Roland Berger), start-ups, academia, the United Nations, TechnoServe, the Clinton Foundation, amongst others. We love to build things, be entrepreneurial, and learn. Generally, we aim to build something that creates value: to our users, society, and our business.


  • Together with CEO and CMO develop marketing and communications strategy
  • Drive implementation of marketing and communications strategy
  • Together with CMO, drive crowdfunding campaign
  • This role has strong development potential (i.e., as we progress we will very likely add activities and junior team members)
