As our new HR Operations Team Lead you will…

Supervise a small team that acts as first point of contact for our employees with transactional questions. You will also provide support to the rest of the People team to deliver operational excellence and organisational change.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop existing HR Operations into a high-performing and scalable function backed by a very efficient infrastructure and KPIs to achieve seamless delivery and operational excellence
  • Drive HR Operations development in line with strategic business growth including the possible incorporation of additional work locations
  • Lead our HR Operations team enabling team members to deliver output, including ad-hoc projects, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, contract changes, leaves, HRIS and all other processes associated with the employee life cycle
  • Ensure continuous improvement of HR Operations, delivering solutions that support business objectives as well as streamlining and embedding processes
  • Monitor queries to ensure timely resolution as well as partner with our HRBPs and other People team members to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Be a dynamic, approachable and hands-on team lead enabling the team to excel in achieving goals as well as supporting individual development to reach full potential
  • Identify major organisational trends and opportunities for improvement to flag to our VP People
  • Produce accurate HR data, metrics, reporting and management information
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (such as People Managers, Legal and Finance internally and payroll provider and competent authorities externally)


  • 4+ years of experience as a HR Operations Specialist or HR Generalist with depth of transactional HR experience, including HRIS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development or Business Administration preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of German employment law
  • Fluent in English and German, particularly to maintain strong relations with competent authorities and external providers
  • Demonstrated competencies in team leadership, specifically in coaching and motivating team members
  • Ready to take smart risks to improve business performance while demonstrating discernment
  • Ability to understand business drivers and translate them into fit for purpose operational solutions
  • Team player who quickly builds trust and collaborative working relationships
  • Strong cross cultural and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in fast paced and rapidly changing environments
  • Flexible, with high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Strong business acumen, in addition to project management, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills
