Freight Network Planner (m/f) // Wayfair

Our Freight Network team is responsible for European-wide cross-border shipments in collaboration with our logistics and supplier partners. The European network is increasing due to demand and change across the EU, along with volumes traded.

We are looking for a Freight Network Planner to join our Strategic team in Berlin to support the International Freight Network Redesign. The successful candidate will review the current freight network and using your analytical and engagement skills, suggest and manage the redesign to ensure Wayfair’s competitive advantage and success.

As a Freight Network Planner, you will…

  • Improve and design operation on existing and future countries of the Freight Network with focus on reducing cost and transit time
  • Analyze network needs and elaborate a re-design plan to support long term operations growth
  • Lead project implementation across multiple teams and manage different business stakeholders
  • Cooperate with operational teams to identify new network solutions for performance growth
  • Build or integrate new technological solutions to support operations growth and redesign (TMS)

Who Wayfair is looking for:

  • You have significant experience in analytics or logistics and you have good knowledge in Freight / Transportation across Europe
  • You are an analytical person – must have Advanced MS Excel skills, SQL is highly desirable
  • You have good project management skills
  • You are fluent in English (any other European languages are highly desirable)
  • You have a “hands-on” mindset and you don’t have a problem to get to the minimum details in a process and be an active part on the “ground” operation
  • You make things move and constantly push for results
  • You like changes and constantly challenging new process alternatives
