French Language Specialist // GetYourGuide

GetYourGuide is busy revolutionizing the tours and activities space, fundamentally changing how travelers discover and book things to do while in destination. We are looking for a Language Specialist who will take principal ownership of the French website and ensure linguistic quality to bring us even closer to our customers. You will be responsible for marketing activities, localization and product copy. You’ll also work closely with other language specialists and content editors in order to collect and act upon various data, helping to fine-tune processes within the Content, Marketing and Product teams. What will you be doing?

  • Strong focus on localization by providing attractive and creative transcreations from English to French for website copy
  • Maintain the quality of the French content by conducting website checks and creating marketing style guides and glossaries
  • Conduct market research to find answers about French consumers requirements, habits and trends
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts
  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Work daily on Marketing and SEM projects (newsletter, keywords & ad copy)

We are looking for you if you:

  • Are a French native speaker with an excellent command of English
  • Have at least 1 to 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (SEM, SEO) and market research methods
  • Have experience translating and editing copies from English to French
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
  • Make data-driven decisions and are process-oriented
  • Can create and proofread copy for different audiences and departments
  • Are a multitasking wizard with a keen eye for detail
  • Are eager to learn and motivated to succeed

The ideal candidate would also:

  • Hold a university degree in marketing, communication, translation or equivalent
  • Bring translation experience from the travel industry
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, prioritizing tasks according to company needs
  • Be passionate about localization and globalization
