Manager – Projects & Analytics (In-house Consulting) // Wayfair

We are seeking a person who will lead, together with their team, projects from A to Z to bring all the pieces together to design and build the backbone of our business. Key pillars of this role will be driving the various implementations needed to scale the business growth in Europe. Acting as an in-house consultant you will be exposed to all of our Europe operations and closely link into the U.S. headquarter in Boston. Your challenge will be to quickly identify and ramp-up new opportunities for process improvements and harmonization, in order to meet the requirements of our fast pace and high growth business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify, analyze, design and implement operations improvements, to drive process harmonization, reduce complexity and increase transparency and accountability
  • Manage a team of 2 to 3 people
  • Manage small to mid-size projects in close cooperation with key business stakeholders in Europe Operations and in the US headquarter
  • Depending on the project size take over responsibility for business blueprint design (specifications), user training and user acceptance testing
  • Implement projects within scope, time and budget with a special focus on process related change management requirements
  • Work closely with software engineers to design and test new tools, design workflows, and solve problem
  • Work cross functionally to prioritize competing interests and focus project plans on the highest impact activities
  • Use SQL, data analytics, and other research tools to find patterns and identity root causes

Your skills and experience:

  • Several years of experience in Consulting and/or Project Management
  • First team management experience
  • Highly analytical mindset
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do-attitude
  • Passionate about operations and to make an impact on a global business
  • Passionate about technological environment; comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Good knowledge of and experience with Agile, capacity to break down complex projects into manageable pieces
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills(moderation and presentation), allowing you to work easily with different teams in remote locations
  • Robust knowledge of MS Office(especially .ppt & .xls), SQL and other data mining tools
  • An understanding of application database, system design, and troubleshooting, though no coding experience is needed
  • Fluent English
  • MBA, Master’s or equivalent degree
