(Senior) Product Manager (m/f) – Data Integration // Wayfair

If you’re passionate about e-commerce fulfillment and creating scalable operational systems that will drive our business and elevate customer, supplier, and employee experiences, we are looking for you to join our Operations Product Innovation team.

You will work collaboratively to design solutions that cross technology platforms and operations groups. As a leader in project management you will work cross-functionally with experienced Product Managers and serve as overall business architect for large initiatives, ensure that we’re pushing the bounds of creativity and innovation, consistently executing at a high level.

What you will do:

  • Become and serve as expert in the processes and technology that drive data integration with our suppliers for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop a relationship with operational teams and act as their liaison to the operational technology platforms, eliminating the need for them to have to navigate increasingly large and specialized product and engineering teams
  • Develop and manage an EDI technology platform roadmap for the EU market in partnership with business stakeholders and engineering in alignment with the company objectives
  • Counsel business leaders in operations and drive improvements on the supplier EDI engagement, scoping, specification, implementation and operations process
  • Engage with key-suppliers and propose integration solutions which fit the Wayfair EDI platform to continuously improve operational processes
  • Research and seize opportunities for larger scale VAN integrations
  • Leverage data and supply chain research insights to identify growth opportunities, and translate those opportunities into actionable product improvements & new features
  • Help fashion detailed user stories and requirements for product initiatives, and assist a cross functional team of product managers and engineers to bring them to life
  • Facilitate EDI design and architecture across multiple teams in order to design and build solutions to quickly realize customer & business value
  • Monitor performance and measure impact of product enhancements
  • Develop and communicate EDI related performance metrics to key stakeholders throughout the organization

Key Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in operations, supply chain, retail, engineering, consulting and/or finance with a history of driving results
  • Bachelor’s degree in either a technology or business discipline, MBA a plus
  • Fluent German and English language skills are required
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
  • Extensive experience working with Excel is required
  • Proficient and comfortable with SQL or other relational database query languages
  • Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations
  • Strongly collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Strong project management skill with ability to get things done
  • Technical background, or technical orientation; very comfortable with implementing new technology
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and ‘get it done’ attitude
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity, adversity and conflict to establish focus and deliver against business goals
