Financial Controller (m/f)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the entire finance function with a primary focus on reporting and controlling, as well as the administration of the HR function
  • Management of the annual budget and reforecasting process as central point of contact
  • Responsibility for the monthly reporting deck with respective financial analysis for management reporting
  • Proactive review of the business with a forward view on revenue and gross margin attainment
  • Escalation management of the credit control function and related dunning process
  • Execution on reporting deadlines while evaluating opportunities to optimize the monthly closing process
  • Contact person for internal and external stakeholders (employees, management, accountants, tax authorities, auditors, legal consultants)
  • Administration of the HR function including posting of job ads, screening of candidates, assistance with visa applications, on and off boarding processes and general labor law topics including employment contracts
  • Generation and monitoring of company guidelines relating to financial and personnel topics
  • Ad hoc projects as needed
  • Management of the financial accountant

Your Skills:

  • Successful completion of your studies with a degree in Business Administration, Finance or an equivalent training as a certified accountant
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of Accounting/Finance with responsibility for the HR function
  • Proficiency in standard office applications, especially MS Excel and in at least one accounting ERP system
  • Knowledge in the field of international accounting standards and basic labor law topics
  • Strengths include an ability to work effectively in a team, willingness to acquire new skills, enthusiasm and a hands-on mentality
  • Ability to inspire the team and peers with creativity and a commitment for continuous improvement in a dynamic start-up environment
  • You are proficient in German and English
