Key Account Manager // Uniplaces

We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our our team and help expand Uniplaces in Berlin. You will be part of an energetic local business development team tasked with growing the supply and getting the word out about Uniplaces in the German market.

As a Key Account Manager you will be responsible for a broad range of account management tasks, with a focus on delivering growth in revenue and occupancy to our accounts. You will have to find potential new Key Accounts, approach them and persuade them to work with Uniplaces. Once you sign them as Uniplaces clients, you will also be responsible for building a strong relationship with them, keep them engaged, have their listings always up-to-date and ensure they get bookings and maximize their occupancy rates.

You will be part of an energetic local business development team tasked with growing the supply and getting the word out about Uniplaces in the German market. You must be fluent in German and English.

This full-time position is based out of our vibrant office in Berlin, reporting to the General Manager for Germany

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing our key accounts in your market; and working closely with them to drive occupancy rates and revenue for their properties. This involves:

  • Ensuring all accounts maintain high response and capture rates and are accepting bookings from our platform
  • Proactively looking for ways to improve the quality of their offers, and maximize the potential of each account
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing and any other aspect of our relationship with the accounts to drive revenue and bookings
  • Ensure all offers from each account are updated on our platform, with updated availability data, pricing information and up to date photos and descriptions
  • Train accounts on our product, processes and policies
  • Coordinating with the central teams (key account support, onboarding, bookings) to confirm bookings, resolve issues, cancellations, complaints or anything else related to your accounts
  • Communicate effectively within the business to the relevant departments
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the accounts – they should know you same as people from their own team!
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Source and acquire new accounts and get them to join Uniplaces
  • Provide regular and accurate reporting vs targets to your direct manager and the functional coordinator
  • You will be measured on the performance of your key accounts, taking into account size of portfolio, bookings, occupancy rates, capture rates and response rates. Therefore, all actions with others teams and with the clients must be focused on improving these KPIs.

Requirements

  • Native German and fluency in English is required; other languages are a big plus
  • Experience in Sales/Business development/Account management/Customer Support
  • Experience in Real Estate/Student accommodation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; understanding and implementation of key performance indicators are critical
  • Economic and commercial mindset, Understanding the business needs of clients
  • Strong face-to-face, phone and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Results-oriented, and able to prioritize workload, and able to work independently
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, responsible; and flexible
  • Already based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
