Senior Backend Developer (d|f|m) // Liefery

About the company

Liefery is part-logistics and part-tech/SaaS startup on the way to a grown-up. With our integrated in-house IT platform and our own logistics operation we are enabling a modern approach to last-mile delivery services.

About the job

You will be working in a team of talented Ruby, JavaScript and Mobile developers of all levels. You will spend a large part of your time working on the Rails stack of our platform but you can sometimes also venture out into JavaScript or Elixir / Phoenix territory.

About the team

You will be part of a friendly, diverse and international team. We work in small groups each with a high degree of self-organization. We constantly evolve and redefine our development process based on our own ideas (see our blog post about it). Teaching and learning from each other is a very important part of our work.

You will report to a team lead and have frequent 1-on-1 meetings with them (every week or every second week). Your team lead will be responsible for giving you feedback and helping you grow.

We work flexible hours and we allow working remotely part of the time. Some of the team members work four days per week and this is also an option that we can offer for you. In case you require a working visa we are happy to sponsor it.

We are committed to improving the diversity in tech, and it is a core value in our interviewing process. We encourage all qualified applicants regardless of race, skin color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability or any other underrepresented group to apply for this position. We acknowledge that not all underrepresented groups are immediately visible based on the application. If you self-identify as a person coming from a group underrepresented in tech, please write “I identify as a member of a group underrepresented in tech” in your application (do not write the actual group). This will help us prioritise the interviews, and interview as diverse a pool of candidates as possible.

  • You are fluent in English

Does this sound like an interesting opportunity for you? If yes, please send us your application and tell us about your experience, linking to everything we should look at as well as a few sentences about why you’re interested in us, and we will get back to you soon.
