// Mission & Tasks

As Head of Operations at Flexcavo, you will be directly responsible for our machinery yard network (physical locations) and end-to-end asset operations enabling us to delight our customers. You are connecting our digital product (FlexcavoOS) with lean on the ground operations driving new feature development to increase our efficiency. You will set the ground for the scalable backbone of our organization without losing sight of an excellent customer experience. You will work directly with the founding team to build one of the leading ConstructionTech companies in Europe.

Your tasks include:

  • Shape our operations strategy – Define and implement a consistent and efficient strategy for our end-to-end asset operations including unit sourcing, network synergies, revenue and margin management, and investment planning.
  • Scale our yard network – Drive the growth of yard network and scale to >50 locations and >7,000 construction machines over the next years
  • Nurture our product development – Suggest new product features to drive a digital fleet management and overcome shared pain points of ourselves and our customers
  • Make every customer a fan – Collaborate cross-functionally to enable a lean online and offline customer journey with an excellent customer experience
  • Set up yards and implement processes – Set-up each yard in line with the organization’s overall strategy and drive the pulse of our day-to-day processes on the ground including customer operations, order fulfillment, and machinery maintenance
  • Track and improve performance – Aggregate and report on performance and actively develop and drive improvements along the customer journey as well as behind the scenes
  • Be a leader – Build up and lead a strong and talented team centrally at our HQ in Berlin and locally at our yards on the ground

// Skills & Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an asset-enabled start-up
  • Degree in business management, engineering, economics, or a similar field
  • Exceptional structuring and analytical skills with the ability to set up efficient business processes in a timely and goal-oriented manner with an entrepreneurial and hands-on attitude
  • Adaptive, outgoing, and positive professional who loves working in an ever-changing environment with a no-task is too small attitude
  • Able to establish immediate credibility with peers, senior leadership, and external partners
  • Ideally, you have experience in leading teams
  • Excellent written and verbal German and English communication skills
  • Genuine interest in and curiosity about the construction industry
