Senior Product Designer (m/f/d)

Want to pair your design skills with problem-solving? Enjoy dealing with a wide range of people? Interested in playing a key role at a leading tech company? Then this could be designed for you…

Who we are:

Our ‘Scoober’ drivers are delivering food in around 70 cities, from Brussels to Berlin. With millions of orders every day from our customers, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure we’re always on the move.

Based in our dynamic office at the heart of Berlin, the Product Designer will use their designs to ensure those deliveries run as smoothly as possible.

What you’ll do:

Let’s kick things off with the design side! As our Product Designer, you’ll be using your passion and expertise to ensure the UX designs for our driver app and dashboards are slick and user-friendly.

Whether you’re designing web interfaces or creating user flows, you’ll find smart new ways to bring continuous improvements to the products for our ‘Scoober’ (or driver fleet) crew.

Being a natural problem-solver, you can identify the technical issues behind our drivers’ requests and use your designs and prototypes to create solutions. And as a senior team member with plenty of experience, you’ll mentor other designers to boost their development. With the right management skills, there’s the opportunity to develop this into a lead role.

This role also means collaborating with a range of people. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team with Product Owners and Developers. But you’re also out and about – speaking to drivers about the platforms they use and performing usability testing based on their feedback.

Are you the one?

So, you’ve got the skills to take our driver platform into top gear. That’s a big thumbs up from us. But we’d also like you to have:

  • 4+ years experience in UX Research or related roles
  • Ability to design products from concept to development
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Familiar with guidelines for iOS human interface and Google Material Design
  • Background in using any of the following tools: Sketch, Invision Abstract, Zeplin, Principle
  • Fluent English skills. German proficiency is nice to have

Here’s our offer:

If you’ve got the right ingredients for life at Takeaway.com, then we make sure there’s plenty to reward you.

In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll get to take a bite out of great company events like our annual summer party and ski trip. That’s as well as perks like a contribution to your travel costs.

We’re also passionate about giving you the chance for personal and professional growth.

Lieferando is an application (web & mobile) that allows you to order food at restaurants online. Lieferando.de is part of Takeaway.com. Takeaway.com is the leading food-order site in continental Europe. It all began at a party in 2000, when Jitse Groen, who was still a student at the time, came up with the idea for a website after he discovered that he could not use the Internet to order food easily. He registered the domain name under 'Thuisbezorgd.nl' the very next day. Today, we process millions of orders a month. Jitse Groen being the CEO. We operate in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania and Israel. Takeaway.com is a dynamic and vibrant company that is still growing rapidly. Each day, dozens of changes occur that call for an agile response. This means quickly changing gears between the various offices and departments. A great deal of effort is made every day not only to maintain our position in the various countries, but also to reinforce it. In addition to working hard, we also know the importance of socializing, having a laugh and sharing a drink. Would you like to be a part of the Takeaway.com team and make a difference?
