Mechatronic Engineer – Mechatronic Systems (m/f/d)

To ensure the seamless functioning of our in-house robotics solutions, we are seeking a passionate Mechatronics Engineer with expertise in CAD, electronics, PCB design, CNC milling, 3D printing, firmware development, and IT support. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to seamlessly integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components to develop innovative mechatronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and be able to provide technical support as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software to design and develop mechatronic systems, components, and prototypes.
• Design and layout PCBs, ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability.
• Utilize CNC milling and 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping and manufacturing.
• Develop and program firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug mechatronic systems, identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Provide IT support, maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software systems in our company.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software elements effectively.
• Document designs, modifications, and testing procedures accurately.
• Assist in project planning, estimation, and execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mechatronics engineering.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for mechanical design and prototyping.
• Extensive knowledge of electronics, circuit design, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle).
• Proficiency in CNC milling and 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping and manufacturing.
• Expertise in firmware development for microcontrollers and embedded systems (e.g., C/C++, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Solid understanding of mechatronic system integration and troubleshooting.
• Experience providing IT support and maintaining hardware and software systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Very good English, German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in designing mechatronic systems for industrial automation or robotics applications.
• Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and data acquisition.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency in IT support, including hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
