Senior Backend Engineer – Typescript

Restack’s mission is to become the simplest way to manage stacks of open source products on a production-ready Kubernetes cluster and for that we’re building our founding team, hiring people who believe in the future of open source and are excited to be part of this journey.

What would a Senior Backend Engineer at Restack do?

  • Primarily, you’ll own, design, and build our OpsBackend that holds the logic that orchestrates and manages thousands of open source applications in Kubernetes clusters.
    • Stack: Typescript, Node.js, TypeORM, Websockets, Postgres, Docker.
  • Work closely with our Infra team pushing forward scaling, reliability, and solutions for new features
    • Stack: AWS, EKS, K8S, Rancher, Terraform, Helm, Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with other Typescript engineers in our Web team (including CLI).
    • Stack: Hasura, Postgres, Next.js, React, GraphQL.

What does the candidate profile look like?

  • At least 2 years of production experience with Node.js (preferably Typescript) and minimum 5 years of programming experience regardless of language
  • Good written and spoken skills in English
  • Knows how to collaborate with other team members, seeks feedback, and proactively helps others.
  • Cares about developer experience and gets excited about tools and processes that make great DX

The following could also be helpful:

  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with React and Next.js
