Senior Engineer (Backend) in Digital Health (f/m/d)

We are building a video platform that helps doctors better educate their patients before a medical intervention. 

We are looking for:

A new team member for our venture backed startup that is driven to enhance patients and doctors lives through digital technology. As a young company, we rely on people that are self-driven, can think on their feet and are willing to learn and try new things. All while having a broad technological understanding (Data, Platforms, Ecosystems, Video) and always acting with deep empathy in regards to the users.

As a Senior Engineer you will:

• work in a cross-functional team, including domain experts (health care professionals), designers, researchers, and engineers, to deliver scalable, performant, and secure backend services.
• collaborate with the Principal Engineers on designing the solution architecture for core products and the wider medudoc platform.
• use techniques like test driven development, code reviews, and pair programming to help your team to ensure the delivery of high quality software.
• ensure the quality and reliability of the software product via automated testing and monitoring tools.

Your Profile:

• 5+ years of server-side development in Node.js or the JVM ecosystem.
  (our tech stack: Node.js, Typescript, Spring Boot, Kotlin, MongoDB, GraphQL, Redis)
• You have developed, deployed & maintained sustainable production applications.
• You are experienced in designing scalable software architecture using modern technology and standards, as well as desire to work with new technologies.
• You are experienced with DevOps practices.
• You are knowledgeable about software quality and are experienced in automated testing practices.
• You have a thorough knowledge of applying agile development principles in real world scenarios.
• You have a passion for helping people with technology and ensure this is reflected in the team’s practices and approach.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written). Experience working in med tech is a bonus.
