Operations Business Development Manager // AMPERAS

YOUR ROLE

We are a startup, you should be willing to help out in all departments. This role combines many aspects of our business, sits at the center of it but mainly

  • You will assume responsibility for carrying out, scaling and optimising all operational processes within the firm, this may include building your own team
  • You will assume responsibility for demand-side contact and thus sales of our two-sided B2B energy marketplace in close cooperation with the founder in residence and managing director
  • You will qualify leads that come from our online marketing activities, and follow up on them
  • You will execute a well-defined, comprehensive, KPI-driven sales strategy in a persistent fashion
  • You will monitor and analyse all KPIs related to operations, sales and related traffic on the platform
  • You will ensure that our client-first focus meets the highest quality standards – feeding back to our product / IT team
  • You will carry out the ultimate meta-level sales: pitching a digital product to offline sales guys
  • You will grow business and scale the firm as fast as possible in a matter of 6 weeks to a few months

YOUR PROFILE

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional sales / business development environment, knowing the energy sector is a plus
  • You are technology savvy and willing to learn about https://www.pipedrive.com/ functionality (enable success with features: pipeline management, email integration, activities and goals, sales reporting & forecasting)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral (cold calls) and written (email campaigns), incl. the confidence/drive to sell fresh ideas to outsiders and coordinate between different stakeholders of a large team internally
  • A positive, down-to-earth, authentic, and empathetic team player
  • Entrepreneurial, strong hands-on mentality with a focus on execution and high motivation to take an active role
  • Previous experience in startups/entrepreneurship and professional services is a plus
  • Fluency in English and most importantly German (our users are mainly German-speaking and so you need to sell “auf Deutsch”)
  • Ready to start immediately (ideally full time but at least 3-4 days per week if part-time) and to relocate to Berlin if not already here, happy to help with that
