Software & Electronics Engineer

We are looking for a technically skilled and hands-on Software & Electronics Engineer to join our growing team at LIQUIDLOOP. This is a full-time role based in Berlin, where you will work at the intersection of software development, electronics integration, and laboratory automation. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining LabVIEW-based control software, supporting electronics assembly, and integrating our scientific devices into customer environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building reliable systems, and contributing to the development of high-performance instruments in the field of electrochemistry and analytical technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining LabVIEW-based software for the control and automation of LIQUIDLOOP devices.
  • Supporting the integration of our systems into customer laboratory setups through tailored software and hardware configurations.
  • Assembling, wiring, and testing electronic components, including sensors, valves, and control boards, for production and validation.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and debugging of electronic and electromechanical assemblies during testing and final quality control.
  • Contributing to the development of Java-based data analysis tools for experimental result processing and reporting.
  • Managing procurement and inventory of electronic components by coordinating with suppliers and tracking parts using Odoo ERP.
  • Supporting the prototyping and development of new electronics for next-generation product lines in collaboration with the R&D team.
  • Documenting software versions, test procedures, and production configurations to ensure traceability and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in hardware companies, scientific instrumentation, or R&D-focused environments, ideally in the field of analytical or laboratory devices
  • Strong background in software development (LabVIEW) and hands-on electronics integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of sensor systems, PLC communication, and control architectures in embedded or lab systems
  • A structured and solution-driven mindset with the ability to balance development tasks with production support needs
  • Business fluency in English; German proficiency is a strong advantage, particularly for coordination with local suppliers and documentation
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team across software, hardware, and operations
