(Senior) UX Designer

The Team

Hotelplan has established the Digital Product & Design Team with the aim to transform and establish digital products and services across all of the brands: Inghams, Explore, Inntravel, Esprit, and Santa’s Lapland. A key aspect is in-housing the core competencies and creating product ownership. Be an integral part and support to shape our journey from the beginning.

The (Senior) UX Designer will work together with the Product Team to further develop and shape the digital customer experience on our websites. You will closely work together with the product owners, e-commerce and marketing department, as well as SEO, CRO and Content team.

You are a proactive player with an entrepreneurial mind-set sharing, driving and implementing initiatives and projects together with the team to optimize the digital customer experience and transform Hotelplan’s websites as a product.

Your role

  • Analysis and conception of customer experience, user flows and information architecture within customer journey, based on customer needs and pain points.
  • Development of customer centric concepts, features and designs, taking into account business and commercial goals.
  • Stay up-to-date and perform market research / competitor analysis, sharing latest UX and usability trends and best practices with product owners and other stakeholders
  • Design meaningful user experiences, user interfaces and feasible features based on user and business needs
  • Development of interactive prototypes (Flowcharts, Wireframes, Mockups, Sitemaps, user journeys/flows etc.) to evaluate UX hypothesis and usability test to identify opportunities and challenges in designs
  • Visualization of user interactions (user story mapping, customer journey map, UX product Canvas)
  • Implementation and maintenance of a component library and design system
  • Contributor and Coordination of UX discovery formats with the team (Jobs to be done, design thinking etc.)
  • Own your results by creating data driven solutions, focusing on business goals and KPIs, CVR and ROI
  • Ownership of different projects and working in an agile working environment

Abilities/Qualities

  • Several years of relevant work experience as a UX designer, ideally in an inhouse or agency setup and for both web and mobile product design.
  • Experience with Mobile Applications / Native Apps.
  • Ability to work with best in class design software and tools to create flowcharts, wireframes, mockups, sitemaps and holistic prototypes (e.g. Figma or Adobe).
  • Experience to support all stages of the design process from the initial idea to the final solution/product.
  • Experience in working with marketing, product, commercial and development teams in order to create the best possible output.
  • Strong communication and listening skills in order to best capture input from external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating motion or animated visuals is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
