Software Engineer – Backend and Salesforce (f/m/d)

LINUS is building a leading digital home for private investors, giving them access to a diverse range of private real estate investments. This asset class has previously been only available to institutional players. Access to our products is fully digital, and we aspire to make it as simple as e-commerce. The LINUS approach has been proving itself successful in 50+ projects with a total capital employed of more than € 1.3 billion.

We are expanding our footprint in Germany and are looking for talented people to help us in scaling up the business. Our team is highly passionate and agile, and combines top notch backgrounds in management consulting, investment banking, tech, major law firms, etc.

Tasks

• You will be part of a cross-functional team, working in fintech with a great, experienced team.
• Contribute to the design of the software architecture within and across teams and implement features to satisfy the business needs
• Maintain and improve Salesforce, our CRM system, as admin.
• Operate your team’s microservices in the production environment on the cloud and identify and solve production issues
• Understand business requirements, navigate through ambiguity, translate them into technical tasks, and support less experienced teammates through coaching and code reviews
• Be part and shape the engineering community by sharing best practices and interviewing additional engineering talents
• Working with product managers and business stakeholders to design systems they love to use every day and help them achieve their goals
• Enjoy exploring different sub-domains and working with different teams

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in designing software systems in Java/Kotlin
• Understanding of resilience patterns and what means to build a scalable system with a track record in microservice/Event-Driven architectures and RESTful API design
• Experience or strong interest in working with Salesforce and integrating its API services
• Production experience working with Monolithic Applications and Microservices
• Familiar with IaC using AWS/Docker/Terraform
• Proven Experience using Spring/SpringBoot ecosystem
• Comfortable writing Unit/Integration/functional/End2End tests
• Good knowledge of databases SQL/NoSQL and familiar with normal forms, ACID, isolation levels, index anatomy
• Understanding of CI/CD
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support technical decision making by balancing customer impact and technical quality
• Flexible and open-minded personality and comfortable working in a multicultural environment and in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience or Interest in working on frontend topics (Typescript/JavaScript (ES5 and ES6) using Reactjs)
• Practical experience in operating technical software systems based on cloud environments like AWS
• You’ve built complex, high-quality applications, and have a strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Event Sourcing Architecture with Axon Framework.
• Familiar with common monitoring/alerting/logging tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with fintech sector (investment / payment)
