What You’ll Do:

Define and Execute Technology Vision & Strategy

• Lead the development of a long-term technology roadmap aligned with our business goals.
• Innovate and implement cutting-edge technologies: AI, cloud computing, data analytics
• Oversee the architecture and scalability of our microservices-based platform in order to enable the global expansion.

Lead and Grow a Distributed Tech Team

• Manage and inspire a diverse team of 100+ technology professionals located across Bulgaria, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the Philippines.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture across all teams.
• Implement best practices for cross-functional collaboration, particularly between developers and product managers.

Drive Operational Excellence

• Optimize development processes to reduce costs and accelerate time-to-market.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
• Oversee the integration of AI technologies: aiming both at improving our product offerings and reach higher operational efficiencies.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Strategic Leadership

• Work closely with product, marketing, and sales teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Participate in senior management meetings, contributing to company-wide strategic planning.
  Communicate technology progress and plans with stakeholders and investors.

Resource & Budget Management

• Manage the technology budget, optimizing investments in tools, infrastructure, and talent.
• Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.

Talent Development & Process Improvement

• Lead talent acquisition and development to build a top-tier technology team.
• Continuously evaluate and refine internal processes to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team skills current with industry standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Leadership:

• Proven Leadership: 5+ years in a CTO or senior technical leadership role within e- commerce and SaaS environments.
• E-commerce Expertise: At least2 years of experience in e-commerce, with a deep understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities.
• Global Team Management: Experience managing large, distributed teams across multiple countries.
• Technical Mastery:
  • Microservices Architecture: Deep understanding of microservices, cloud services (preferably GCP), and scalable architecture.
  • Full-Stack Proficiency: Experience with PHP, Python, JavaScript, Next.js, React, and related technologies.
  • AI Integration: Proven track record of integrating AI into business processes.
• Strategic Vision & Innovation:
  • Business-Driven Tech Strategy: Ability to align technology strategy with business goals and growth objectives.
  • Agile Leadership: Expertise in Agile methodologies.
• Communication & Collaboration:
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with non-technical teams, in order to maintain alignment and mutual understanding.
