About mTOMADY: mTOMADY is a global health non-profit organization that builds and implements technology to lower financial barriers to healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa.

Our platform connects patients, healthcare providers, and health financing services – no matter how remote. Since 2019, mTOMADY has enabled over 250,000 people to digitally access vouchers and cash transfers for health, a mobile-phone based health savings wallet, and community-based health insurance. With mTOMADY, health financing is delivered equitably, efficiently, and transparently, down to the last mile.

We initially launched in Madagascar and have more recently started initiatives in Ghana, Uganda, and the DRC. Throughout our work, we collaborate with leading global health research institutions to contribute to a growing research base on mobile technology enabled health interventions. As a result, we’ve been named one of the most innovative ideas in global health by the German Ministry of Health, and have been featured in prominent publications including DevEx, Brand Eins, and Deutsche Welle.
