What You’ll Do:

Define and Lead the Technical Architecture:

• Design and Implementation: Architect and maintain the structure of our microservices- based platform, ensuring it is scalable, maintainable and aligned with business objectives. Focus on creating a unified vision for the software’s architecture and technical stack.
• High-Level Decision Making: Drive architectural decisions, including technology stack, design patterns, and efficient infrastructure, ensuring the platform meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Innovation: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, integrating those that can enhance the platform’s capabilities, performance, and reliability.

Collaborate Across Teams:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and operations to translate business needs into technical strategies. Ensure that architecture supports seamless collaboration and continuous delivery.
• Leadership and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Lead code reviews and promote best practices in software engineering.

Ensure Quality and Efficiency:

• Platform Integrity: Design a robust, secure, and scalable platform that supports global operations and meets the highest standards of quality and security.
• Technical Risk Management: Identify, assess and manage technical risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues and ensuring the long-term health of the platform.
• Continuous Improvement: Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural best practices. Optimize the development process to reduce technical debt and improve system performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience and Expertise:
  Proven Leadership: 10+ years in senior technical roles, including at least 5 years as a Software Architect in e-commerce and SaaS environments, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges in these fields.
• Technical Mastery: Extensive experience with microservices architecture, cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform), and full-stack technologies including PHP, Python, JavaScript, Next.js, and React.
• Advanced Problem-Solving: Strong capability to design innovative solutions for complex technical challenges, with a focus on performance optimization, scalability, and reliability.
• Design & Engineering Practices: Strong knowledge of design patterns,CQRS, TDD, DDD, and best engineering practices.
• Communication & Autonomy: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bulgarian and English, with a proven ability to thrive in a developing environment with high autonomy.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Influential Leader: Ability to guide and influence development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles without direct managerial authority.
• Educational Background:
  Academic Excellence: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
