Backend Engineer

Tasks

We are currently looking for a Backend Engineer to join us full-time as soon as possible. You will be one of our first hires and gonna play a key role in growing the company.

More specifically, you will do the following:

  • Take ownership: Build up our tech team, lead own projects and take personal responsibility.
  • Have impact: Build up our tech infrastructure and develop new products.
  • Python and Django Framework: Develop and maintain our web application using the Django framework and Python programming.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Integration: Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and integrate Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Run.
  • Database Management: Manage and optimize database systems, applying knowledge of SQL to create and manage schemas efficiently.
  • RESTful APIs Development: Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs, adhering to best practices in API development and integration.

Requirements

On a high-level, we are looking for entrepreneurial people that are at the top-of-their-game. In more specific terms, your skills should include:

  • Strong dedication and willingness to go the extra mile with us
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ideally 3+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency or capacity to learn our tech stack: Python, Django, RESTful API, GCP
  • Previous founding / early-stage startup experience is a plus
